Why Mia's Unique Quintessential?

Allow me to introduce myself, I am MIA a breast cancer survivor, and overcomer. In 2020 I was diagnosed with cancer of the left breast. In April of 2021 at The City of Hope (formerly Cancer Treatment Center of America) in IL, I underwent five surgeries; one 10 ½ hour total mastectomy surgery of the left breast and here in 2024 I give thanks to my Lord and my team of compassionate doctors. I feel amazing in my body, mind, and spirit. Living to make a great difference in the lives of others, there is hope without harm. I am not coming before you as one who speculates about how cancer treatments affect one’s body; I have personal experience as a caregiver, friend, and my very own walk through a season of cancer; experience is truly the best teacher in life. 

MIA’S UNIQUE began when I was prescribed the chemo pill as a method of treatment in which my hair started to shed more rapidly. I prayed and asked the Father what I can do because I will not lose my crown of glory, which is my hair and for my skin, I used lotions and moisturizers, but they were not keeping my skin from appearing dried out. Yes, this new journey started with only me in mind, then I realized it’s not just about me but everyone that has experienced any kind of cancer and deals with the side effects of the treatments, and on second thought, there’s far more people besides experiencing cancer that have hair and skin issues that need healing also.  

Please don’t be alarmed by the label, it’s a statement of my experience concerning cancers; I have lost husband, son, and far too many tried and true friends to this disease called cancer.
